Maybe Microsoft didn't under-do-it after all, maybe Sony over-did-it. They should have went to the developers first to see what they needed for this generation, instead of pushing their own agenda.

Bungie... ...WTF was that! Bungie ought to be ashamed of that game. (campaign mode) That was the worst of the series if you ask me, and I thought the second one would be the worst.
Is it just me or did they put about 30 hours of storyline into 6+ hours of game play. They left me with more questions than answers.
Don't get me wrong, I love Halo and what it could be, but that deserves a 9 at the very most.

I don't think Sony or Microsoft will be able to overcome the console sales of the Nintendo Wii. It still sells out everytime it hits store shelves and it's not even close to Christmas yet.
They may win the console race, but they won't ever come close to software sales of MS or Sony.

There are quite a few receivers that do not support HDMI connectivity. Especially older all-in-one box 5.1 systems. My receiver was over a grand 3 years back and it doesn't support it.

...it isn't overhyped. I think it is totally awesome to see commercials of, or walk into a store and see posters of your favorite game. That kicks @ss! If your not a fan or your PS3 bias, I can see how you would think it's overhyped. If anything is overhyped, it's car and beer commercials.

The beginning of the game is a little slow getting started, but stay with it a little longer and it get's really good.

I'm an XBOX fan, but this game should be experienced by all gamers. It's that good. Let's hope the PS3 finally get's it eventually. Even if it takes another year, this game is an instant classic!
...Halo 3 only on the XBOX 360. It will be the most talked about game by the media this whole year. That in itself will sell alot of consoles. IMO
